Never a dull moment...
The photos from the Millenium Music Conference are finally up. I guess I could breathe a slight sigh of relief and expect that life should return to normal, but it never does. After the conference, I attended the Five of Hearts benefit concert at TheWhy're. After that, I went out to support Stage at the Chameleon, where TheExies and Trapt were playing...and last night, I took a tour of the wrong side of Baltimore on my way to support eleven:54 and their CD Release at the Hard Rock Cafe in Baltimore. Stories to come later...
Fat Tuesday and Marti Gras was a riot down at the Stone Cellar in Ellicott City. It'd been a while since I'd last seen Fidel and the infamous Mr. Dave Hill.
(Dave is an awesome guy..if you've ever met him or seen him perform, you know what I mean.) Mixed among the bead-slinging musicians in the house last Tuesday night, was Howi of Ballyhoo! and Psycho Mike of Bastard Hut. Ballyhoo! reminds me a lot of Fidel on a couple of songs (though Psycho Mike disagrees with me...), and Bastard Hut...well... reminds me of a good beer belch and the resulting male laughter. But anywho...
This weekend is a busy music weekend, though I'll be tied to a desk at my "real" job instead of partying with you...
TheX Snowblast concert is this Saturday, and a really cool lineup of Capitol Air, Jove, and Herbie will be rocking the Historic Blue Star in Lancaster on Friday.
I've been working on the site quite a bit, and soon, I'll be moving everyone over to the newest version of the message board available. I'm hoping to make it easier to use and add a lot of neat functions to it at the same time. I am still over-due on reviews of CDs. If you'd like to write for TheLab, please contact me. (please be fore-warned, though, I'm a nit-picky editor sometimes.)
Be safe, have fun, and enjoy every moment... see you out there! - Ang
